The project for the replacement of the CBD Amenities is in progress
Council has successfully secured funding through the Federal Government’s Local Roads and Community Infrastructure fund to complete important and long overdue upgrades to the CBD Amenities located in Henty Street, Portland.
Council undertook consultation seeking input from community for ideas and considerations to develop concept designs for the redevelopment of the amenities, and as a result the following elements have been included in the design:
Safety was the highest priority of the community as the existing facilities do not give a perception of safety when using them
Improved accessibility providing safe and easy use for community members of all abilities
Ease of cleaning to be able to provide well-maintained facilities
Hard wearing fit out and anti-vandal where possible
Our Focus: Quality fit for purpose facilities, places and infrastructure.
