Glenelg Shire Council is proposing to lease a portion of land on Fitzgerald Place (Lot RD LP138324, Fitzgerald Place Portland Vic 3305) to Riordan Group Pty Ltd currently used for operational activities and will assist with the internal flow of vehicles. The proposal is for a period of five years with two five-year extensions at $1130.00 excl. GST per annum plus CPI.

As the proposed lease has the potential to exceed a ten-year period, Council must undertake a community engagement process to allow community to help inform decision making, any feedback received from community will be included in the report to Council.

An independent valuation was conducted in November 2025 to determine the annual rental amount for the lease.

The road portion of land reserve concerned is not currently required for public use and therefore Council is open to considering offering it for lease.
