Town Jetty Portland

Glenelg Shire Council has confirmed it is committed to rebuilding the Portland Marina Jetty.

The “sea” end of the old Portland Marina Jetty was closed on Tuesday 6 January 2015 for a structural engineering assessment.

The closure was a precautionary measure and followed the routine assessment of the jetty as part Council’s Asset Audit and Compliance Program.

A temporary fence has been put in place, closing off the structure.

The marina remains accessible from the carpark and is available for pedestrian access and fishing.
