Why are we asking for your feedback?
Councils community engagement policy requires us to undertake a community engagement process in accordance with Section 115 of the Local Government Act 2020 as the period of the proposed lease would exceed 10 years.
What does 'RSL' stand for?
The Returned & Services League of Australia (RSL Australia) was formed in 1916 in response to the lack of a unified approach to the organisation of repatriation facilities and medical services for those returning from the Great War (World War I).
How long will the lease be for?
Glenelg Shire Council is proposing for a 10 year lease with two additional options of 5 years each. For other tenure suggestions, please use the comments section of the survey on the main page.
When will the lease start?
It is our intention to start the lease on 1 April 2025. The list of proposed dates for the process are shown on the main Your Say Glenelg page.
How much rental will the lease require?
The proposed rental amount is $1.00 per annum.
