We care about our community and strive to ensure that every person’s library experience – in our libraries, online or at community events – is the best it can be.

OUR PLAN
In line with Glenelg Council’s strategic planning process, Glenelg Libraries has developed a multi-year plan that provides a long-term vision of the way library services are delivered and the value they can create in our community. The development of the Glenelg Libraries Strategic Plan was informed by a survey of more than 160 library users, stakeholders and community.
Through this consultation, Glenelg Libraries identifies four strategic priorities:
PRIORITY PROJECT
A priority project identified in the Plan is to seek funding/partnerships to revitalise some of our Libraries. The plan recognises that the Heywood Library is well-situated but requires additional investment if it is to become an active connected service hub that draws people in and strengthens community capability and connections.
The initial consultation for this project is now closed. The first stage of this process invited community to share thoughts and ideas to help revitalise the Heywood Library. Subscribe to this project to receive updates on this project.
