Construction of the Bentinck Street and Fern Street roundabout and associated works is progressing well, with several key stages now complete, including new bollards and a central roundabout island.

What’s happening now:

Asphalt works are being undertaken this week. This may result in longer delays for road users as these important works are carried out.

Traffic management and detours remain in place, including temporary traffic signals to manage single-lane alternating traffic flow.

What to expect over the coming weeks:

Installation of raised pedestrian crossings.

Signage and pavement upgrades.

Line‑marking and final surfacing works as the project moves toward completion.

Temporary changes to pedestrian access and short‑term parking impacts as works progress.
