Glenelg Shire Council Proposed Budget 2020/21 & Strategic Resource Plan 2021/22 - 2023/24

Consultation has concluded, thank you for your interest and feedback.

At its meeting on 28 April 2020, Council resolved that the Proposed Budget 2020/21 ('the Proposed Budget') and 2021/22 – 2023/2024 Strategic Resource Plan, presented to that meeting be prepared and advertised in accordance with Sections 129 of the Local Government Act 1989 and Regulation 11 of the Local Government (Planning and Reporting) Regulations 2014.

Members of the public are reminded that due to COVID-19, social distancing is to be maintained if attending one of the following Customer Service Centres to inspect the proposed budget from 29 April 2020 to 29 May 2020:

  • Portland Customer Service Centre, 71 Cliff Street Portland,
  • Casterton Customer Service Centre, 67 Henty Street Casterton; or
  • Heywood Customer Service Centre, 77 Edgar Street Heywood.

Any person proposing to make a written submission on the Proposed Budget may do so before 5.00pm on Friday 29 May, 2020 addressed to the Chief Executive Officer, 71 Cliff Street Portland. A hard copy submission form can be printed from the Document Library or complete an on-line submission below.

In accordance with Section 223 of the Act, Council has appointed a Committee of Council to hear submissions on the Proposed Budget at a meeting to be held at 6.00pm on Tuesday 9 June 2020 in the Council Chamber at the Portland Customer Service Centre.

Discussion of the submissions and the adoption of the Proposed Budget (either with or without modification), will take place during the Ordinary Council Meeting scheduled for 7.00pm on Tuesday 23 June 2020 in the Council Chamber at the Portland Customer Service Centre, 71 Cliff Street, Portland.
