The Draft Glenelg Shire Tourism Strategy 2026–2031 is now available to review.
To help inform and shape the draft strategy, Council engaged with our community, the tourism industry, and stakeholders by collecting insights, data, stories and experiences from locals, business owners, community groups, tourism operators, and visitors.
The draft document sets out a path for positioning Glenelg Shire as a welcoming, distinctive and sustainable destination, supported by five key focus areas:
Place, Nature and Cultural Experience
Sustainable Visitor Economy
Destination Awareness and Promotion
Industry and Community Partnerships
Access, Facilities and Visitor Readiness
The draft Strategy also includes an implementation plan to guide Council’s work in a staged and coordinated approach across the five year period.
