Portland Youth Activity Space Concept Plan

Portland's new Youth Activity Space is now open!

The unveiling of the new Youth Activity and Skate Space on Portland's foreshore was officially launched on Saturday 9 april, 2016.

A huge turnout of approximately 500 people, over the whole afternoon of the launch event, enjoyed an exciting array of free activities on offer including a skateboard deck art pop-up exhibition, walk on water balls, bouncing boxing, a photobooth, blackboard art, basketball, skate demos, henna tattoos, a chill out zone and more.

The crowds were also entertained by local DJ Tyler Smith and local glam-rock band Lethal Dose.

The event was organised by the Glenelg Shire Council's Youth Services Team in collaboration with the Youth Advisory Group and FReeZA committee.
